This is my contribution to The Button Project which will be exhibited as part of this years Barnaby festival
Over 300 artists from all over the world are taking part. The only guidelines are a size limit of 3x3x3cm and that it must have either holes or a shank back for attatching, other than that is open to imagination and any materials, of course mine is made of clay.

1. Stoneware clay cut and shaped over a pingpong ball to give it a curve.
2. I used a tiny paper stencil and slip to make the flower stalks.
3. Porcelain added for contrast in colour.
4. Details added.
5. Shank back attatched.
Stained and fired to 1260 this little creation has insired several scribbled design ideas for future brooches :)
